Customizable Premium WordPress Themes

Premium WordPress Themes have gained a lot of popularity in the last year and many small business owners are consider them instead of building custom web sites. Premium WordPress Themes offer more functionality and their look is more unique compared to the free themes that are widely available on the Internet. Many of the premium themes also have a control panel that is more advanced and are widget ready. The advanced control panel comes in very handy when you want to setup a theme because you will not be required to touch any code. The authors of premium WordPress Themes also provide direct support to users.
At the moment, one of the most popular styles of premium WordPress Themes is Magazine or News themes. There are various themes you can choose from in this category and the difference is usually in the quality. One of the most common premium WordPress Themes in this category is WP-Magazine, WP-MediaMag and WP-Genius which are suitable for websites that have a lot of content and need to display a significant percentage on the homepage. These theme layout include custom widgets, a homepage you can customize, unique color schemes, built-in backend options panel and an automatic thumbnail creation.
If you take a look at WP-Genius, you will see that you have a control panel which makes it possible to customize and manage many elements of the home page. For example, you will see that the homepage has a content glider section which lets you highlight the images and stories that are most important on your site. Other controls provide you with choices for how display colors, category content, videos, and subscription information on your site.
One of the mistaken perceptions of WordPress is that it is exclusively a blogging platform that is inappropriate for corporate and business websites. This couldn’t be further from reality. First, businesses need to stay in touch with their customers and blog web sites are a great way to do. So go ahead and use WordPress themes as is to set up these important components of your Internet presence.
The innovative designers who love WordPress have figured out how to take all of the best content management functionality from this blogging platform and incorporate them into premium WordPress themes that look like full blown corporate or small business web sites. The biggest advantage of these themes is they empower the executives, marketers and communicators in an organization to quickly and easily update web content without any knowledge of how to write code. Updating an article on these premium WordPress themes is literally as easy as writing an email.

You have chosen WordPress for your blogging format. You have selected a theme that pertains to your topic. You are ready to start writing your posts, but want to make your blog really work. You want to have a blog that is the website you have always dreamed of having.
So how do you optimize your WordPress blog? Plugins are important to keeping your site safe and professional. Here are 3 plugins you must have.
1. Askimet: Blogging brings spanners. Akismet stops them in their tracks. This plugin previews comments sent to you and checks them for potential spam before they reach your blog. Akismet is already installed on most WordPress themes. All you must do is go to: Plugins – Akismet – Activate. It will then ask for your API key which you should have gotten when you originally signed up for WordPress.
2. All In One SEO Pack: All sites need traffic and this is one plugin that will help you to drive traffic to your site. All In One SEO Pack lets you tweak your titles, item descriptions, and then add keywords to your posts. Doing this increases your rankings in the search engines which makes it easier to be found. it is important to do this for each post you make, as that will alert the search engines that changes have been made.
3. Google XML Sitemaps: This is the plugin that gets your site searched by all the different search engines. It is XML compliant and automatically updates all the major search engines whenever you make any changes to your blog.
Using these three plugins for your WordPress site automatically manages any spam coming your way and increases your search engine optimization. These make it much easier to achieve the goals you have for your website. Who doesn’t like “easier?”

Powerful New WordPress Review Plugin

A particular type of programming code to improve and enhance a blog is known as a WordPress plugin. This code plugin has been designed to allow you to customize your web site to your specific requirements, without have to change the core of the blog itself.
A WordPress review plugin is a very powerful facility to have installed on your blog. It is easy to use, and will enable you to have an effective money making WordPress review site. Simply upload the plugin theme and activate just like any other theme, and your WordPress review theme will be there for your customers to see.
Your installed template blog will automatically display the overall score along with the negative and positive reviews. The very good content and best score is calculated for products reviewed, and the best product is automatically pushed to the top of the list. This will help you make more sales.
The reason for this is: For example if a visitor to your blog is seeking a product such as a certain type of software. You reviewed seven and nine people add their own comment reviews and rating, it pushes one item to the top.
As it is now a decisive winner. The customer will have made up his mind, click on your affiliate link and makes a purchase, this is the reason why review sites are so effective and popular. With the WordPress theme review plugin on your site you can have the best rated products displayed on a comparison category chart, and show specific points about each product.

WordPress – The Easy Route to a Website
May 12, 2011 by wpautoblog
Filed under Internet And Businesses Online
Are you looking for a simple way to make yourself know online? WordPress is one of the easiest routes to having your own website you will ever find. There is a reason why this free blogging software is so popular, and that is it is incredibly ease of use. If you can point and click, you can set up your own fully functioning website using WordPress in just minutes. How is that for efficiency?
The first thing you need to remember is that there are two different types of WordPress. There is WordPress.com (which you want to avoid, as it is not your own unique website and WordPress has total control over your content), and then there is WordPress.org. It is the latter that you want for your website. But first things first. Before you can set up a WordPress site, you need a domain name. So, head over to Go-Daddy or Name-Cheap, or whatever domain registrar is your favorite, and buy a name. Preferably, your domain name should be a.com and have words in it that pertain to the subject of your proposed website.
Next, you will need hosting. That is easy enough to set up. Just go to D9 Hosting (one of the cheapest and most user-friendly hosting sites online) and set up an account. You will be able to host an unlimited number of websites on this account, and it costs only about $8 per month. Change the name-servers on your domain name at the registrar to point to D9 Hosting, and you are all ready to set up WordPress. If you do not have a domain yet, you can search for available names and buy one right from D9 and they will set it up in your hosting package.
The neat thing about D9 Hosting is that it comes with something called Fantastico. With Fantastico, you can install WordPress on your domain name in two clicks. Everything is available through your D9 Hosting package in your personal Control Panel. It is all self-explanatory once you start the process, but if not, D9 has videos to walk you through any step you are having problem with. Just click on Fantastico and select WordPress. With literally two clicks, your WordPress site will be installed.
After that, it is a snap to use. You can customize a WordPress site to do pretty much anything you want. Explore some different themes (backgrounds) and plug-ins for your site to fix it up to function as you need it to. Play around with the side bars and footers to get a customized look. You can log in to your site directly from the Word- Press dashboard once you have it installed in your domain, so you will not have to access D9 to get to your site. You are completely in control with anything you put on this site because you own it. So get out there and use Word-Press to make your presence on the web known!

Where to Find Free WordPress Themes Online
May 11, 2011 by wpautoblog
Filed under Internet And Businesses Online
If you are using a self-hosted WordPress script as the CMS for your web site you might be wondering: How can I customize the look of this blog? It is easy to change the look and feel of WordPress using Free WordPress themes. Free Themes are available from a number of different sites on the web. A simple Google search for “Free WordPress Themes” should turn out a fair number of good results. There is also the official WordPress (download) web site, WordPress.Org, not to be confused with WP.com, the remote-hosted network of blogs. On the.org site you will find the extend area has a plethora of free themes.
Once you have chosen a theme you like and have it downloaded to your computer you need to unzip the theme and upload it to your WordPress themes directory via FTP. For an FTP upload you will need an FTP client. This is a program that uploads files to your web site. I recommend Leech FTP as it is easy to use and is a free download. Upload the unzipped theme folder to yoursite.com/WordPressdirectory/wp-content/themes/ and log in to your WP admin panel. Go to the side menu and select “Themes” under “Appearance”. Here you will be able to find any themes you have in your themes folder.
Select the one you want to use and check “Activate”. Your new theme should be working. If the page does not show up properly or at all, go back to WP-Admin, deactivate the theme and re-upload the files checking to make sure the directories and identical on the site and on your computer. If it doesn’t work after that I am afraid you will have to move on to the next free theme. Congratulations on installing a WordPress theme.

WordPress For Affiliate Marketers
May 10, 2011 by wpautoblog
Filed under Internet And Businesses Online
In a variety of ways WordPress is an associates dream come true. Besides it being totally free and the fact that the engines like Google apparently love WordPress websites (meaning plenty of targeted traffic for you) the versatility of WordPress is what causes it to be so perfect as a tool for affiliate marketing online.
In the old days of static HTML internet websites, any tiny change you wished to make to your site could take a long time. For instance if you had an associate advert at the top of each page of your affiliate site, and you planned to swap it for a different one, you would need to go through every page in turn carefully making the change. It could take a long time. WordPress for affiliate marketers makes life so much easier though because now you only change one little detail and the banners change right across your site.
Once an affiliate web page has been developed with WordPress it’s not just easy to alter your associate links. You can modify the structure of your website very easily so it is possible to experiment with heaps of various styles to see which ones actually convert effectively for you.
You can even alter the structure of your associate web site to see what arrangement of articles actually motivates the most visitors to click one of your adverts and buy something.
And finally WordPress for affiliates works so well because of the extensive collection of add-ons that you can get which can significantly enable you to increase your internet sales. These include plugins that will automatically insert ClickBank or Amazon listings on your site without you needing to do anything whatsoever.

Website Marketing – Making the Most of a WordPress Blog
May 9, 2011 by wpautoblog
Filed under Internet And Businesses Online
Blogging is about writing. It is about communicating ideas with the written word. Some blogs function as online diaries. Others serve a highly profitable businesses. In the marketing of your website, it can serve as a useful tool to drive traffic to your primary website, in addition to helping you rank well with search engines for your chosen keywords.
WordPress
The WordPress.org self-hosted blogging tool, released in 2003, has become the most used blogging software in the world. The blogging experience that followed at WordPress.com made WordPress a household name. No more need to learn all those fancy technical terms that can make you dizzy at the thought of them. Blogging became as easy as typing in a word document. If you’re wondering how the WordPress.com publishing platform stacks up against power hitter sites like Facebook, they aren’t doing too shabby. Their current Alexa ranking is now 17.
Of all the marketing tools in my bag of tricks, WordPress blogs are a high ranking favorite. If you decide that this link-building strategy is right for your website site, stay devoted to it. You will be rewarded for your effort.
To make the most of a WordPress.org publishing platform, you will need to:
Choose a new domain name. Take the same care that you did in selecting your first domain name. It’s important that this one is also short, easy to spell and unforgettable.
Buy a hosting package. A WordPress.org blog will need to be host just like your primary website. I recommend GoDaddy.com.
Install the WordPress blog software. The WordPress software is completely customizable and easy to use, though it might not be easy to install. If you aren’t sure what to do with this free download, contact GoDaddy.com. You can buy a hosting package from them, and they will install the blog for free.
Style the blog. You can download a free template or hire a website designer to create a new custom design. Since this is another opportunity to brand your product, the road you choose should be carefully considered.
Drive traffic. Unlike WordPress.com, your self-hosted blog will not come with the a built-in audience. You will need to plan time to market this site.
To make the most of a WordPress.com publishing platform, you will need to:
Serve a niche. Consider creating a guide or directory that serves the same niche, or a narrower niche. Provide links to useful resources all over the internet – yours and the competitions.
Publish useful content. Write posts that useful to your readers. If they like what they read they may decide to become subscribers.
Include in-text links. WP gives you the opportunity to include in-text links. An in-text link is a powerful tool in providing you with an opportunity to engage and convert your reader. They work well because readers are already interested in your content, and will click-through to find additional information on the same topic. In fact, companies like Kontera, Infolinks and Vibrant Media have built advertising solutions around this very fact.
Publish often. If you are interested in driving traffic with a WP blog, your blog will need content. Plan to publishing often, until you have at least 100 posts.
Link to free resources. People love getting something for free. If you help them find the best free printable and downloadable content the internet has to offer, your blog will become an appreciated resource.
Link to other posts. Every time a visitor finishes reading a post, there is a moment when they make a decision about what they want to do next. If you provide them with an option to visit another post, you will keep them on your blog and increase your chances of having them click-through to your website.
Be helpful. While not every blogging service will permit you to promote your own website. WordPress.com does. When you do link to your own website, be sure that your link is helpful to your readers.
Add reciprocal links to your blog. Let website owners know about the value of a one-way link over a reciprocal link. Offer reciprocal links from your blog, instead of your primary website, in exchange for a link to your primary website. You both benefit, because you both have one-way links.

WordPress Affiliate Themes
May 7, 2011 by wpautoblog
Filed under Internet And Businesses Online
There are two kinds of affiliates who use WordPress as a basis for their websites. There are the pay per click affiliates who like to create landing pages using WordPress and then there are the organic marketers who like to create detailed, content rich sites using WordPress as a back end.
Both of these different types of marketing require different WordPress affiliate themes to achieve the ultimate goal. For example, pay per click affiliates really just want a single landing page with a couple of links that are well hidden. They want visitors focusing on their offer rather than what else is going on around their site.
In contrast organic marketers are looking to create a “sticky” site that draws visitors in the from the search engines and then keeps them reading the articles present. To get the most visitors possible from the search engines, content marketers like this have to find a compromise between a WordPress affiliate theme that helps visitors to focus on the affiliate offer being made, and one which acts like a normal website thus having links to other articles, a contact form and so on.
One of my personal favourites when it comes to WordPress affiliate themes, having tested literally hundreds over the last few years, is the Coldblue theme. This is a free theme rather than a premium one so will cost you nothing to try out.
Some might say the general appearance is pretty boring but I think of it more as clean and clear. No fancy graphics, just a nicely laid-out site that loads quickly and doesn’t give visitors too much to get confused about. I have therefore found that it helps to convert browsers to buyers well.
Alternatively the specialist WordPress theme designers over at Unique Blog Designs have also recently released a WordPress affiliate theme which offers pay per click marketers a huge amount of control over the appearance and layout of their sites – though be aware that this is not a free theme.

How to Change a WordPress Theme
May 4, 2011 by wpautoblog
Filed under Internet And Businesses Online
One of the first things people want to learn when it comes to WordPress is how to change WordPress theme. The main reason being that people love to tinker around with the design aspects of their blogs and websites.
The good news is that WordPress has a built in theme system that makes changing your design a really easy process. Believe it or not, you can install and activate a theme in a matter of minutes. It sure beats trying to design a website from scratch!
The first step in learning how to change WordPress theme is to understand how to add new themes. By default, WordPress only comes with a couple built in themes.
To add a new theme to WordPress, you can either download a theme you find on the internet or use the built in search function in WordPress. The next step is to click on the add new theme link which is found under appearance in WordPress.
If you downloaded the theme yourself, WordPress will ask you where it is located on your computer. Once you select the file you downloaded, it will automatically upload the theme to the proper directory on your computer.
If you prefer using the theme search function, all you have to do is click the install link by whatever theme you wish to use.
Last but not least, you need to learn how to change WordPress theme that your blog is using. In other words, you have to activate the theme you wish to use. To do this, just click on the themes tab in the WordPress navigation menu. Next, simply hit the activate link found by the theme you wish to use. WordPress will automatically activate the theme and make it live on your website. That is it!
